If you're like me and you like scouring through websites from the top down you'll already know Ayal from another piece of art that I made. If you're a wild one and hop around like a bunny, lemme just fill you quick.
Ayal was my landlord for my first couple of months in Brooklyn. Shortly after moving out, Ayal needed two covers for two singles with his Band ‘The Zooberries'. To check out the first one head on over here. The second one went something like this:
Brief:
The title of the song kind of gave me 50% of the information. Happy Pockets. Thus, he wanted a jacket or pants pocket with the title of the track and the logo 'sewn' on it.

Honestly, I was very excited to get going on this one. So I created the first draft to help us pick out our direction, since there wasn't a given art style. Obviously, I went for two extremes. And for now left the title out. :)

He opted for the realistic route and was wondering whether we can throw a vintage vibe on it and whether additional to the title, the band name would fit.

So I went ahead and threw a light film texture over it - just as to not get too overwhelming and added the texts. I personally wasn't very convinced yet so along with the draft I suggested to perhaps try a Polaroid look as well and sent that one shortly after, for him to compare.

Apparently it was a no-brainer and the Polaroid was the obvious choice. So we just ended up playing around with placing a bit longer and eventually settled for the original placing and finishing up the artwork as the image above on the right.
The single hasn't been released yet, but be sure to check in here or on my socials for when they do!
