Softwares Used: Adobe Illustrator & Adobe Photoshop
I had been fancying the idea of creating pop-art designs, but you know how life goes... there's never time to just casually work on a skill for kicks. Thankfully, not too long after, Yonit came along and requested a single cover featuring herself and the singer in a pop-art Style.
Now having the perfect excuse to put everything else aside and finally attempt one of these, I did exactly that.
Brief:
Pop-art Portraits of Yonit & Tiff based on images they had sent over of themselves with an 80s feel and touch to it. Bright poppy colors and a 'blocky' font for the title.
She sent over a bunch of photos of themselves. We ended up settling for the following turning them into pop art using Adobe Illustrator.
I started with Tiff and made a first draft - you know just to make sure we’re on the same page.
Immediately after, I receive the okay to continue with Yonits portrait and that 'this is EXACTLY what we’re going for'. - Amazing. If only that was every job ever, right?
Much like the previous portrait, the first draft was also the final, and we moved on to compiling it all into a single artwork. We had a bunch of different background color options but eventually settled for this:
I got to make cool pop-art and my client loved them. What more can I ask for, right?
